During the winter months, your jacket or coat is your outfit. It covers any tops you may be wearing, so it might as well be fabulous.

This year, puffer jackets and puffer coats with horizonal, large quilts, are everything. While there are plenty of metallic, and brightly colored puffer jackets this season, I was in the mood for a classic black version of the trend. I found this vegan leather puffer jacket with attached hand covers and fell in love. The brand is turning into a highly sought-after label, and I can see why!

The jacket is lightweight yet very warm and comfortable. Plus, the way the collar stands on its own, is fabulous. I am in love! If I lived somewhere with snow, or more cold weather, I would definitely pick this puffer jacket up in more colors! Since I am in the San Francisco Bay Area, I only need one. Our weather swings from the 40’s on up to the 70’s, so one jacket is all I need.

We snapped these pictures before enjoying a yummy lunch at Dough Zone in Cupertino. It’s a fairly new dumpling place that is very good. The Dan Dan noodle were delicious, and their soup dumplings were amazing. If you are local, I recommend trying it out! It’s so good.

Spring 2018 is here, and since spring is a transition between winter and summer, it often serves up differing temperatures. One day will be eighty degrees, and we find ourselves wearing shorts, while other days the temperatures will dip into the low fifties, and we find ourselves reaching for a jacket.

Although we find ourselves needing something to keep us warm in the spring months, a winter coat is just too heavy and will make us hot! So raise your hand if you watch “Real Housewives of Atlanta?” The series is airing right now, so lately I have been in the mood to twirl on! If you watch the show, you know Kenya gets her twirl on, and this holiday skirt is ideal for twirling away!

I am always wondering how to rewear holiday attire after the holidays. This skirt was my favorite holiday piece this season. I wore it to a holiday party at a friends house, the JLSJ Sustainer holiday party, and during the day on Christmas Eve. In order to keep on twirling, I decided to find a way to rewear my holiday skirt after the last of the Christmas tinsel was thrown in the trash bin.

This moto jacket from Bay Area brand Tart Collections is my current favorite on days when the temperatures hover in the high 50’s and 60’s. I decided it would be fun to pair it with my sparkling green holiday skirt.

In December, I met my friend Laura from Have Need Want for brunch in Capitola. I decided to wear this outfit after brunch for a brief stroll downtown where we visited a cute interior design shop that was sadly closing down. Since we are bloggers, we had to stop and snap pictures of our outfits!

Laura suggested I twirl, so I decided to channel Kenya and get my twirl on! Since she is “Gone with the Wind Fabulous,” I straightened up my posture, ignored the fact that we were on a busy street, and I twirled! Oh my, it was so much fun! I hope you enjoy these twirling photos. The skirt does twirl well!

So if you have a holiday skirt, dress, or pants, top it off with a casual shirt and edgy jacket. It will make a special occasion piece ready to wear during the day, everyday! If you have a sparkling holiday top, simply pair it with jeans and boots; and voila! Instant daytime outfit. Love that!
